Goode’s Bridge Marker, M-10
Here Anthony Wayne took station in July, 1781, to prevent the British from moving southward. Here, April 3, 1865, Longstreet's, Hill's and Gordon's corps of Lee's army, retreating from Petersburg toward Danville, crossed the river.

Physical Description of Location: Matoaca, VA 23120. Located on Hull Street Road (Hwy 360), 2.2 miles east of the intersection of Hull Street Road (Hwy 360) and Military Road (Rt. 153). Marker is on the left when traveling east on Hull Street Road (Hwy 360).
