Bennett’s Home Marker, K-257

On this stream, Bennett's Creek, stood the home of Richard Bennett. He was one of the commissioners to "reduce" Virginia after the victory of Parliament in the civil war in England, 1651, and the first governor under the Cromwellian domination, 1652-1655.
